FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MIAMI, FL — September 3, 2026 — Women have built agencies, led organizations, advocated for consumers, shaped policy conversations, and helped move the healthcare and insurance industries forward. That progress is real, but it isn't the whole story, and it isn't finished.
At ACA WAY 2026, four women with distinct perspectives from across healthcare and insurance will take the Main Stage for "We Are Not Done Yet!," a conversation about how far women have come in the industry and where progress is still needed.
The session features B. Ronnell Nolan, Founder and CEO of Health Agents for America (HAFA); Amanda Brewton, Founder of Medicare Answers Now; Jessica Brooks-Woods, Healthcare Executive with HIN & RISE; and Kari Klaas, SVP of Sales at Harbor Health. Together, they will discuss what it takes to build a career, a business, and influence in an industry where women are essential at every level, and the responsibility that comes with opening doors for the women coming up behind them.
"Women are already leading some of the most important conversations happening across healthcare and insurance," said Sherry Feijoo, CEO of ACA WAY. "This session is about recognizing that leadership while also being willing to talk about what still needs to change. These women have earned their voices in this industry, and they are using them to make sure others have the opportunity to do the same."
Leadership Is Only Part of the Conversation
Women across the insurance industry are leading agencies, managing sales organizations, advocating on behalf of agents and consumers, and influencing the direction of healthcare. But leadership isn't only about reaching a title. It's about who gets heard when decisions are made, who has access to opportunity, and who's willing to challenge the systems that can still stand in the way.
"We Are Not Done Yet!" is built to bring those conversations into the open. Rather than a polished version of what leadership is supposed to look like, attendees will hear directly from women who have built careers in different corners of the industry and understand, firsthand, what it takes to create change that lasts.
Four Perspectives from Across the Industry
B. Ronnell Nolan, Founder and CEO of Health Agents for America (HAFA), has spent years advocating for independent health insurance agents and making sure their voices are represented in conversations about the industry's future.
Amanda Brewton, Founder of Medicare Answers Now, brings the perspective of an entrepreneur who built her business around helping consumers understand their coverage and helping agents navigate an increasingly complex Medicare market.
Jessica Brooks-Woods, a healthcare executive with HIN & RISE, brings extensive experience in healthcare leadership and in helping organizations improve how they serve consumers, members, and communities.
Kari Klaas, SVP of Sales at Harbor Health, brings a sales and growth perspective grounded in leadership, relationship-building, and the day-to-day realities of driving an organization forward in a fast-changing healthcare market.
Their paths through the industry are different. What brings them together is a shared question: what will it take to keep moving women forward across healthcare and insurance?
"These are women who have built real things in this industry, agencies, companies, advocacy platforms, sales teams," Feijoo said. "Putting them on the same stage means our attendees get to hear what leadership actually costs and what it opens up, not the version of the story that gets cleaned up for a keynote."
Why Now?
Panels about women in leadership can slide into recognition without substance. This one is built to avoid that. Attendees will hear four women speak plainly about what it took to get where they are and what still needs to change, not a highlight reel of accomplishments. For agency owners, sales leaders, and anyone building a team, it's a chance to hear what opening doors for others actually looks like in practice.
The conversation arrives at a moment when women make up a large share of the workforce across agencies, carriers, and healthcare organizations, but leadership representation hasn't caught up in equal measure. Naming that gap directly, on a Main Stage, is part of what ACA WAY set out to do.
"We Are Not Done Yet!" is part of the ACA WAY 2026 Main Stage program, which brings together leaders from healthcare, insurance, technology, policy, and business for two days of conversation about the forces shaping the industry.
