FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MIAMI, FL — July 29, 2026 — ACA WAY 2026 is proud to welcome Tom and Jen Satterly, co-founders of All Secure Foundation, for a powerful conversation about trauma, survival, family, resilience, and the life-changing impact of accessible mental-health support.
Taking place September 23–24, 2026, at the Hilton Miami Downtown, ACA WAY brings together the leaders shaping the future of healthcare. This year, the conference is expanding that conversation beyond policies, benefits, and insurance cards by recognizing an essential truth: healthcare must also care for the emotional and psychological well-being of the person behind the policy.
A Decorated Warrior’s Battle Beyond the Battlefield
Tom Satterly is a highly decorated combat veteran who served 25 years in the United States Army, including 20 years in Delta Force, one of the military’s most elite Special Operations units.
Throughout his career, Tom participated in some of the most significant military operations in modern American history. His service included the Battle of Mogadishu—the 1993 operation later portrayed in "Black Hawk Down"—and operations connected to the capture of Saddam Hussein.
Tom survived circumstances most people could never imagine. However, one of his most difficult battles began after he returned home.
Years of repeated combat exposure, loss, physical injuries, and the constant demands of Special Operations took a serious emotional and psychological toll. Tom struggled with post-traumatic stress, depression, isolation, relationship difficulties, and thoughts of ending his life.
The transition from an elite military environment into civilian life left him searching for a new identity, a renewed sense of purpose, and a path toward healing.
The Battle Families Face at Home
Jen Satterly experienced another side of the same battle.
As Tom’s partner, she witnessed the effects of trauma inside their home and relationship. She faced the difficult reality of loving someone who was suffering while trying to understand experiences that were often unspoken and invisible.
Her journey illustrates that trauma does not affect only the person who served. Its effects can reach spouses, partners, children, relationships, and entire family systems.
Together, Tom and Jen began searching for sustainable ways to heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and as a couple. Their journey was not immediate or easy, but it showed them that recovery, reconnection, and growth are possible.
The outcome of their battle became a new mission.
From Post-Traumatic Stress to Post-Traumatic Growth
In 2017, Tom and Jen founded All Secure Foundation to help Special Operations warriors and their families confront the challenges they had personally experienced.
All Secure Foundation provides free coaching, relationship support, wellness education, retreats, community programs, and resources created specifically for the Special Operations community.
Its programs recognize that successful healing requires more than asking a warrior to manage symptoms alone. It requires trusted support, healthy relationships, practical tools, family involvement, community, and an environment where asking for help is viewed as an act of strength.
The foundation’s mission is to help warriors and their loved ones move from post-traumatic stress toward post-traumatic growth—rebuilding connection, restoring purpose, and creating a healthier life after service.
Why the Satterlys Belong at ACA WAY
Tom and Jen Satterly are joining ACA WAY because their story represents what healthcare is ultimately supposed to protect: human lives, families, relationships, and futures.
Insurance professionals frequently discuss access, affordability, enrollment, compliance, benefits, and coverage. Those conversations are critical, but coverage alone does not guarantee that someone will recognize a mental-health crisis, feel safe asking for help, or know where to turn.
The Satterlys bring a deeply human perspective to the healthcare conversation. Their presence will challenge attendees to look beyond transactions and consider how the industry can create stronger pathways to prevention, support, treatment, and recovery.
“Every insurance card represents a person whose needs may extend far beyond a doctor’s appointment or a prescription,” said Sherry Feijoo, CEO, ACA WAY. “Tom and Jen remind us that mental health is health, families are part of the healing process, and access to support can change the direction of a life.”
Their participation is part of Beyond Insurance, ACA WAY’s commitment to addressing healthcare through a whole-person lens and highlighting emotional well-being, prevention, accessibility, and community support.
Mental Health Is Health
Mental-health conditions affect millions of individuals and families across the United States. Trauma and post-traumatic stress can influence a person’s relationships, ability to work, physical health, decision-making, and overall quality of life.
Stigma can also prevent people from discussing what they are experiencing or delay them from seeking help.
For military members, veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and others exposed to repeated trauma, silence can carry devastating consequences. Supporting mental health means creating environments where individuals can speak honestly, receive appropriate care, and understand that needing help is not a personal failure.
It also means supporting the families standing beside them.
ACA WAY believes healthcare leaders, agencies, carriers, brokers, technology companies, and professionals all have a role in building a system that treats mental health with the same urgency, dignity, and compassion as physical health.
Every ACA WAY Ticket Creates an Impact
For every ACA WAY 2026 ticket sold, $10 will be donated to All Secure Foundation. New Health Partners will match that contribution dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of each ticket.
By attending ACA WAY, participants will not only gain access to two days of healthcare education, leadership, innovation, and industry connection. They will also help provide meaningful resources to warriors and families navigating trauma, reintegration, relationship challenges, and life after service.
Supporting All Secure Foundation means standing with those who served, recognizing the sacrifices made by their families, and helping ensure that no warrior or loved one has to face the homefront battle alone.
Join the Mission at ACA WAY 2026

Attend the conference. Support the foundation. Share its mission. Help replace silence with conversation, stigma with understanding, and isolation with a community committed to healing.
Because healthcare is not only about the card.
It is about the person holding it.
