Former White House AI Innovation Fellow Matthew R. Versaggi to Speak at ACA WAY 2026
Versaggi and emerging technology leader Dr. Katrina Rosseini join a powerful lineup of healthcare, insurance, and technology voices heading to Miami

MIAMI, FL — July 23, 2026 — Matthew R. Versaggi, MS, MBA, a former White House Presidential Innovation Fellow in Artificial Intelligence and one of the industry’s most experienced voices in emerging technology, will speak at ACA WAY 2026, taking place September 23–24 at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
Versaggi will join “Code & Care,” a forward-looking conversation exploring where artificial intelligence, healthcare innovation, organizational strategy, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and the human experience come together.
He will be joined by Dr. Katrina Rosseini, Managing Partner at Queens GMBT, and technology executive and visionary force behind TheoVex and Open Insurance, Ariel Dominguez. Together, the panelists bring deep experience across artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cybersecurity, healthcare, enterprise innovation, critical infrastructure, and organizational leadership, creating one of the most anticipated conversations on the ACA Way 2026 agenda.
Rather than treating artificial intelligence and emerging technology as distant trends, “Code & Care” will bring the discussion into the present, examining their growing influence across healthcare while keeping the focus on the patients, professionals, organizations, and communities those systems are ultimately meant to serve.
Healthcare is entering a new era in which artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and emerging technologies will redefine how organizations deliver care, manage risk, protect critical systems, and build trust. The panel will explore how leaders can embrace that innovation responsibly while strengthening the infrastructure and governance needed to support it.
Versaggi currently serves as Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence and Distinguished Engineer at Optum, UnitedHealth Group, where his work spans AI strategy, machine learning, cognitive technology, quantum computing, healthcare innovation, and enterprise implementation.
His experience in artificial intelligence dates back to the mid-1980s, giving him a rare vantage point on the technology’s evolution from an emerging academic discipline into one of the most powerful forces reshaping healthcare and modern business.
Throughout his career, Versaggi has evaluated hundreds of AI use cases and helped organizations move beyond experimentation toward practical, scalable implementation. His work has focused not only on what artificial intelligence is capable of, but also on what organizations must build internally to use it effectively.
Versaggi founded an internal College of Artificial Intelligence that has trained hundreds of technologists and professionals. He has also led an organizational AI Center of Excellence and chaired two patent review boards responsible for evaluating and awarding hundreds of healthcare technology patents. He holds patents of his own in quantum computing, machine learning, and cognitive technology.
Versaggi was selected by the White House to serve as a Presidential Innovation Fellow in Artificial Intelligence, supporting innovation within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. His career also includes 16 years as an entrepreneur and CEO, a decade of university-level teaching, and extensive experience speaking to audiences around the world.
Dr. Rosseini brings an equally timely perspective grounded in emerging technology, cybersecurity, national security, policy, enterprise preparedness, healthcare governance, and the practical challenges organizations face as innovation accelerates.
A nationally recognized strategist, speaker, and advisor in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure resilience, she works with government leaders, policymakers, venture capital firms, founders, and capital-market decision-makers on technologies shaping national security, economic competitiveness, critical infrastructure, and the future of work.
She frequently speaks at national conferences and executive forums, including the Wall Street Conference, DEFCON’s Crypto & Privacy Village, and Critical Effect D.C. She also leads Critical Effect California, a curated executive forum where senior public- and private-sector leaders address the future of critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, policy, and workforce development.
Her work has taken her from congressional discussions on U.S. leadership in quantum computing to national security panels examining the convergence of quantum technology, AI, and cybersecurity. She has also addressed the annual Wall Street Conference on the economics of quantum computing and artificial intelligence, exploring how capital markets, national security, and commercial viability increasingly intersect.
Dr. Rosseini has presented to the nation’s largest public pension fund and spoken at the United Nations on the barriers women face when launching startups in emerging technology. Following her engagement with the Congressional Quantum Consortium, she authored a quantum trade and implementation brief outlining policy, investment, and execution pathways intended to strengthen U.S. competitiveness.
Dr. Rosseini serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Cyber and Technology Center at the National Security Institute, where her work focuses on helping organizations navigate the convergence of emerging technologies, quantum computing, critical infrastructure resilience, cybersecurity, and technology governance.
She is also Chair of the Civilian Reserve, CR-ISAC, and Founder and Principal of KRR Ventures Advisory, where she helps organizations navigate emerging technologies, accelerate growth through corporate development, strategic partnerships, and commercialization, and transform complexity into strategic advantage.
As Managing Partner of Queens GMBT, Dr. Rosseini leads strategy and advises founders, investors, and market leaders across emerging technologies. She has also co-founded a cybersecurity company focused on securing connected devices at the chipset level and advises startups across healthcare AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing.
Her understanding of healthcare is also informed by 14 years of service on the Board of Directors of St. Rose Hospital, including as Chair of the Finance Committee. In that fiduciary role, she experienced firsthand the operational, financial, and governance implications of ransomware on a resource-constrained health system serving vulnerable populations.
She also helped oversee board governance through a successful hospital merger and acquisition, giving her direct insight into how healthcare organizations manage disruption, protect continuity of care, navigate financial pressure, and make consequential decisions during periods of significant change.
That experience allows Dr. Rosseini to connect emerging technology and cybersecurity strategy with the realities facing healthcare leaders, including limited resources, aging infrastructure, operational risk, patient trust, regulatory responsibility, and the need to protect vital services.
Her doctoral research in operational technology and critical infrastructure cybersecurity led to the development of SECUREGRID, a context-aware vulnerability prioritization methodology designed to help organizations identify and prioritize the cyber risks that matter most across healthcare and other critical infrastructure sectors.
Recognizing that quantum computing brings both transformative opportunities and emerging cybersecurity risks, Dr. Rosseini also developed a first-generation enterprise governance framework for post-quantum cryptography preparedness. The framework helps organizations consider data longevity, cryptographic transition, decision authority, governance, and enterprise readiness as quantum-related risks evolve.
She is a leading voice on both the promise of quantum innovation and the risks associated with “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” and “Harvest Now, Forge Later,” in which encrypted data or digital signatures collected today could become vulnerable as quantum capabilities advance.
Dr. Rosseini is also a member of the Fast Company Executive Board, and her work has been featured in Forbes, S&P Global, Fast Company, DC Journal, and other leading publications. She regularly contributes to media conversations on emerging technologies, cybersecurity, quantum computing, critical infrastructure, and technology policy.
That combination of policy, security, technology, healthcare governance, and enterprise experience gives Dr. Rosseini a distinctive role in “Code & Care.” She brings the conversation beyond what emerging technology can do and toward the larger questions of readiness, governance, resilience, trust, execution, and organizational responsibility.
At ACA Way 2026, Dr. Rosseini will share practical insights into how healthcare leaders can responsibly embrace emerging technologies, strengthen cyber resilience, safeguard critical infrastructure, and prepare their organizations for the future of healthcare.
Her participation reinforces a central theme of ACA Way 2026: innovation has the greatest impact when advanced technology is paired with thoughtful leadership, strong infrastructure, responsible implementation, and a clear understanding of the people it is meant to benefit.
“Matthew and Dr. Rosseini represent exactly the kind of leadership ACA Way was created to bring together,” said Sherry Feijoo, CEO, ACA Way. “Matthew has spent decades at the forefront of artificial intelligence and emerging technology, while Dr. Rosseini brings a powerful understanding of quantum computing, cybersecurity, healthcare governance, policy, organizational readiness, and the real-world implications of innovation. Their combined perspectives will make this an important conversation for anyone preparing for the future of healthcare.”
This is more than a discussion about emerging technology. It is an opportunity to learn how healthcare leaders can embrace innovation while strengthening cyber resilience, safeguarding critical infrastructure, managing organizational risk, and preparing for the next generation of digital transformation.
